Is manual right for you?
Choose manual if you want the full licence — once you pass in a manual you can legally drive both manual and automatic cars, which matters for work vans, hire cars and most used cars on the market. Manual takes a little longer to learn than automatic (clutch control is a real skill), but it's the more flexible licence for life. If you just want to be on the road as quickly and simply as possible, automatic may suit you better — we teach both, and we'll give you an honest recommendation in your first lesson.
